There is no precise record of the construction of this 17th century palace, situated in an attractive area of Lisbon with beautiful views over the city and the river.

The earliest records go back to 1672, where it comprised a carriage entrance, a barn and five houses with stores underneath and a backyard.

It survived the 1755 earthquake and changed owners several times over the years before it came into the hands of the present owners.
At present, the entrance hall divides the property in two wings, one of them is occupied by the owners and the other one which was rented for many years to an academic institution.

The 3078 sq mts of built area are distributed in a maze of corridors leading to grand halls, with several sets of staircases communicating different parts of the property on one wing and a more rational distribution of space in the other wing, with two receptions, a dining room, bedrooms and bathrooms on the main floor.

There is a swimming pool and a 278 sq m garden surrounded by the building, as well as the most ancient section of the palace where the original kitchen with its chimney still stands.
Parking and extra storage area are available in the lower floor of this six-storey building.
